Our Story

Serving Society Global Foundation was founded in 2024 by Dev Rai when he was 15. During visits to India, Dev observed that prices were significantly lower than in the US. For instance, a bag of chips costs around 10 rupees (approximately 12 cents), whereas the same would cost about $1 in the US, nearly five times more. He later realized that this disparity was due to higher incomes in the US, leading to increased spending and costs. Additionally, he noticed many homeless and low-income individuals selling beautifully and skillfully crafted items on the streets and realized these talented artisans were underrepresented and undervalued.

To address this, he founded Serving Society to lead business development and marketing efforts in the US for these underprivileged tribes, expanding their reach and profits, which will help improve their living conditions. We focus on promoting sustainable products and recognizing the importance of addressing global warming. As young people, we believe it is crucial to take initiatives that tackle this growing issue since it is likely to impact our generation directly. Lastly, we hope this initiative will help spread recognition of Indian art and culture in the US, as well other cultures around the world.
